Lane closures planned for I-20/I-59
ALDOT has announced they will close the inside lanes of east and westbound I-20/I-59 east of the I-459 Interchange during the evenings this week. The lane closures will be from just east of I-459 south of Bessemer to County Road 56, or Valley Road, in Fairfield. The transportation department will perform cable guiderail operations during the lane closures.
See the schedule for the lane closures from ALDOT below:
-Monday, July 30 at 6 p.m. until Tuesday, July 31 at 6 a.m., eastbound (inside) lane from (milepost 106.0) to (milepost 108.0);
-Tuesday, July 31 at 7 p.m. until Wednesday, August 1 at 7 a.m., eastbound (inside) lane from (milepost 106.0) to (milepost 108.0);
-Wednesday, August 1 at 7 p.m. until Thursday, August 2 at 7 a.m., eastbound (inside) lane from (milepost 107.0) to (milepost 109.0);
-Thursday, August 2 at 6 p.m. until Friday, August 3 at 6 a.m., eastbound (inside) lane from (milepost 107.0) to (milepost 109.0); and
-Friday, August 3 at 6 p.m. until Saturday, August 4 at 6 a.m., eastbound (inside) lane from (milepost 108.0) to (milepost 109.0).
